Hello, Friends! Happy New Year! We’re starting out with a bang by sharing with you our pictures and thoughts on the groundbreaking of the Friends Center for Children (FCFC) in New Haven, CT. We are very proud to be a part of such a wonderful project and were very excited that Governor Dannel Malloy was able to join us at the event!

REFLECTION

We are very pleased to have designed the new building which will house the Friends Center for Children. It is environmentally sensitive, and meets the unique needs of small children. Beyond the energy-efficient design, the radiant heat floors, the geo-thermal system and the electric car plug in, we are especially proud of the aspects of the building and the site that will provide educational opportunities and enjoyment to the children: the movement studio, the exposed wood structure, large windows which look out to this beautiful site, and the roof garden which offers planting beds and a waterplay area for kids to actively learn about their environment.
