This historic building known as Geer’s Block in Norwich, CT, was built around 1878. Long inhabited by an insurance company and housing a large vault in the basement, our modernization proposes a mixed-use building of cafe/restaurant on the street level and 4 apartments on the upper floors.

On the ground floor, the original mosaic floor with the insurance company’s monogram will greet visitors to the new restaurant space surrounded by dark oak-paneled walls and heavy architectural detailing. On the upper floors, apartments are laid out to take advantage of ample windows in open-plan spaces.
